Bridge to Health Colon Hydrotherapy Post Treatment 1/25/21
- Most often clients experience a sense of increased energy after a session.
- However, you may experience additional bowel movements directly after treatment or later that evening. These movements may contain solid stool or be mostly water, there may be mucous filaments or segments. This is perfectly natural as water has softened and loosened stools that may have remained in the colon for sometime. Don’t be alarmed!
- Occasionally a client may experience light headedness directly after the treatment. We won’t let you go until you feel right again!
- Rarely, a client may feel nauseated or even vomit. Again, we won’t let you go until you feel right!
- This is especially true for those who have been chronically constipated for sometime or are ill.
- You may also experience gas and some cramping. Your colon got a work-out! Don’t be alarmed!
- Herbal teas, chamomile and ginger will help alleviate the gas symptoms. A warm water bottle or heated rice or buckwheat pillow on the belly will help as well. We love our Cosmic Bessie Rice bag, available for purchase at the office! A warm bath can help as well.
- It may take more than 24 hours for a natural bowel movements to resume, due to the amount of feces removed from the colon during the treatment. Don’t be alarmed!
- If you have had a history of hemorrhoids, or if the speculum irritated you during insertion, you may have a bit of pink blood upon wiping. Don’t be alarmed!
